Weeks 1–4: Foundations
Mental models, design principles, user research, and structuring a product.
A complete, 14-week, week-by-week course guide — concepts explained simply, a worked example in every topic (many drawn from apps used daily across Nigeria), and a hands-on task each week. Finish with a portfolio-ready capstone project.
Every week has three parts: concepts (the theory, explained simply), a worked example against a real or realistic product, and a hands-on task you complete before moving on. Recommended tools — all free-tier: Figma for design & prototyping, Maze or Google Forms for testing, and a notebook or Notion page as your running design journal. No prior design or coding experience is assumed.
